Overview

Alexandria (“Alex”) grew up in Wichita, Kansas and completed her undergraduate degree at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. She then moved to Oregon where she started her legal career as a paralegal. Alex moved to San Diego to go to Law School at Thomas Jefferson School of law. She graduated and passed the bar in 2021. Alex has been working in civil litigation for the past 12 years (as a legal secretary, paralegal, law clerk and now attorney), working on insurance defense cases, medical malpractice, personal injury, premise liability, construction defect and complex tort litigation.

Experience

Construction Litigation

  • Prior to becoming an attorney, Alex was a paralegal for a Construction Defect/Insurance Defense law firm in Portland, Oregon where she prepared for numerous multi-million-dollar complex trials.

Insurance Litigation/Premise Liability

Personal Injury- Tort Litigation/Trial Experience

  • Successfully defended two separate rear-end cases. The first trial had alleged complex shoulder surgery. Effectively proving there was no mechanism for injury and received a 10-2 defense verdict.
  • The second trial included allegations of future loss of employment and past employment due to injuries totally $3.4 million dollars and life care planning. Successfully showed pattern of abusive work history and prior injuries not exacerbated by the accident and received a 12-0 defense verdict.

Personal interests include traveling and being outdoors. Alex also enjoys learning about the history and development of the wine industry. She spends her downtime working out, catching up with friends, volunteering and reading romance novels.
